Checking Accounts for People with Bad Credit

without comments

The title says it all: Checking Accounts for People with Bad Credit – The economy has taken a toll on a lot of people. There are a number of credit unions that are sprouting up with programs like Second Chance Checking Accounts. I have noticed that one bank in California has checking accounts for people with bad credit, and all they need to do to get it is to take a test that can be taken online to see if they are ‘worthy’ of getting a checking account. Now, the test looked super simple, and it had questions that anyone with common sense should be able to answer correctly. It is good that banks are starting to realize that there is a large number of people out there who have bad credit or are on Chex Systems, and obviously all of them need a bank account or checking account. Interestingly enough, there was over 14 percent of people from Georgia who did not have bank accounts. There are other states out there who have even higher rates of people without savings or checking accounts. I am guessing that a large number of the people without bank accounts did not have them because of bad credit or chexsystems. I would bet that a decent number of those people had no idea that there are checking accounts for people with bad credit out there. If you live in a populated city, I would not be surprised if you have a local bank or credit union that will give you a checking account even if you have bad credit or your name is on the Chex Systems list. It might be easier to find a local bank by searching online, but if you cannot find one, just remember that you will be able to get a new checking account online. Not having a bank account is not fun at all, but you should know that there are banks out there that are willing to work with you and give you a new bank account to put your money in. Once you get past that, you can start using your checking account to get back on track.
