SIGHTINGS FOR 1980

MUFON Report
At the time in question Dan and his friend George were 7th graders approx. 14 years old. They lived in Franklin, Ohio. Dan's friend George had gotten a telescope for Christmas. The event took place not long after Christmas. George had wanted to try out his new telescope. Both boys had walked down the intersection of Catskill and Hamilton-Middletown Rd. Dan. told me their parents were in bed so it was late but does not remember the exact time. The skies were clear. A full moon was shining. The year was 1980.
While they tinkered with the telescope they looked up and saw what they first thought was the moon. However this object was blood red. While watching the object it seemed to move in a straight line down. As it got closer it looked to be bigger then a house. It suddenly stopped and hovered radiating a bright red in color. It stopped near a farm field across the road. At the very back of this field was a tree line and behind the trees was a deep valley. It only took a second or two for the object o move from far out in space to within 500 yards of the witnesses. Dan. said the object now was very bright and the red glow lit up the surrounding area and shined in their faces.
It then began to descent into a valley and slipped out of sight. The whole sighting took no more then 2-3 minutes. Dan. said he became scared and ran back to the house. George stayed to watch for the object and did not return to the house for 15 minutes. David told me it was if George was mesmerized and didn't move when Dan. called to him to come back to the house with him.
I asked Dan if he felt anything unusual took place while the sighting was taking place. D. said it did not make any sound and it also seemed that everything was too quite. The outdoor dogs next to his house always barked at everything but never barked at the object. D said it felt like there was cotton in his ears. He could not hear well. I asked if it was like a vacuum and he said, that was what it felt like.
Dan went on to say that after the incident, his friend George seemed to change in personality. He says that he never really was the same person and had some mental issues he thought that might have stemmed from the UFO sighting.
After talking to Dan, I began to think that maybe something happened to him also. He has experienced some very bizarre things in his life that can't be explained. Dan has agreed to under go hypnosis to see if he can find out what if anything else happened when they saw the red UFO and to also explore some other things that have happened in his life. Dan said he did not know where George was now. That he may live in Florida. I have asked Dan to see if he could locate him and ask him if I could talk to him. If he is located and will speak to me then I will add his statements to this report.
I'd also like to mention that near the location of the sighting there is the Kinder Indian mound in Franklin where the enclosed photo and also Monsanto is in the back ground of one photo. Rumors about UFO reverse engineering has been told about Monsanto and for some unknown reason, UFOs seem to show up around Indian mounds also.

NOTE: Several days after we had talked by phone Dan called me and asked that I do not use his name in the report. He had at first told me it was OK to use his real name. I asked him why he had changed his mind. Dan informed me that shortly after our interview he had been out walking and a black helicopter began to fly low over him as he walked. It made a pass over him three times. Dan said he felt he was being watched.
So I told Dan that I would give him an alias name. Two days earlier I, myself had the recurring black helicopter over my house at 7 PM on 1/10/07. So the reports of the infamous black helicopters continue.
