For more information please see it below. After someone took my trusty Oster clipper, I had to go searching for a replacement to handle my facial hair. I quickly found that I had endless options and had a difficult time deciding what to buy. I eventually ended up deciding that the Wahl Peanut trimmer would be a good bet, mainly based on the positive reviews it receives on Amazon and elsewhere. The 5-star Detailer is the better trimmer, hands down. Love the specially designed attachments that reach into difficult areas like under the nose. Does not pull hairs like the Peanut and provides a more even cut. Never trips up. the motor has plenty of power. I haven't adjusted the blades, and it seems that these aren't shipped with the adjustment tool anymore, but I'm sure you can still adjust it closer if you desire. There isn't really a case included anymore either. On the positive side, though, Wahl has upgraded the blade to a wider T-shape, which was a pleasant surprise for me. This trimmer is quieter than the Peanut. not whisper-quiet, but definitely not too noisy. The design stunned me when I first opened the package. It is a truly stylish device. Great long (and thick) power cord. I highly recommend this trimmer and I'll be returning the Peanut soon. Received item and opened it to find that the device was not seated in the molded tray and askew. The clipper guard was not on the clipper but just loose in the box. After further investigation of the devise I noticed specs of hair in the blades, which is utterly disgusting and unprofessional. I paid full price for a NEW device not full price for a USED device. Seriously??. This thing is amazingly sharp (More customer reviews)Answer is, yes, it is worth it. The best haircutter/razor I have ever owned. Half the size of regular haircutters, but twice the power and versatility. No joke. Doesn't pull hair, and gives a clean, smooth cut, that is very close and even good for sensitive skin like mine is. I use it for cutting beards and also for cutting hair, and it works excellent for both. I don't think I'm ever going to buy a cheap/crappy one ever again. Seriously, once I used this one the very first time, my old Remington haircutter (which was only one year old and already falling apart) went immediately into the trash can. I'm sure you will do the same with whatever old haircutter you have if you buy this one or the TOL (most expensive) WAHL if you can afford that one, which I can't yet but if this one ever goes out I will probably buy this one again or the Top-O-the-Line one that WAHL also makes that is about twice this cost. Highly recommended. 9/10.
